Tonya Reid - Social Worker
Tonya Wilson Reid is a native of Statesville North Carolina….born and raised by the late Doris and George Wilson, Jr. She attended public school and graduated from Statesville High School in 1984. She went on to attend Western Carolina University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work in 1988.
Her background includes serving as a social worker in various children and family service environments for the past 34 years. Currently, she works as a School Social Worker for TCE and TCMS, District Homeless Liaison and District Truancy Court Liaison for Iredell Statesville Schools with many responsibilities.
Reid has work experience in the department of social services in Burke, Cumberland, and Iredell counties. to protect children from additional abusive and neglectful living situations. The most rewarding work experience Reid has had was as an adoption specialist in South Carolina preparing children for adoptive placements and assessing and preparing adoptive applicants for placements of children available for adoption.
Reid has worked diligently in her community trying to bring about positive change and to instill in the people - self-worth and accountability in their lives and community. Reid looks back on all of her work and she knows that she has made a difference in many children and adult lives.
Last but not least…..Tonya Wilson Reid is the proud parent of her daughter, Zenadia, age 28 years old and a loving grandparent of her 4 year old granddaughter, Mila Rae. That’s her story and she is sticking to it!
James McGoogan - SAP Coordinator
Mr.James "Coach Mac" McGoogan holds a Bachelors in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Psychology in Behavioral Health, another Masters in Professional Counseling and will soon be Doctor McGoogan in 1.5 Years in Clinical Health Psychology. He has 20 years experience of Mental health services and counseling. He has 10 years of substance abuse counseling in many different areas such as SAIOP, SACOT, AND Substance abuse Counseling. Over the last 20 years of working in mental health services, he has worked with Adults and Children. He currently has his own private practice doing individual and family counseling, substance abuse counseling and he is also a Professional Life and Health Coach. He is the districts go to individual when the child needs an evaluation to enter back into the school when they have issues with substance abuse or issues. Shameka Chambers - SAP Coordinator
Shameka Chambers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined Third Creek Middle School as a SAP Coordinator January /2022. She spent 22 years of her career working as an outpatient therapist. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults struggling to manage life stressors, trauma , and social or emotional related deficits. Shameka earned her Masters of Social Work degree May 2000 from University of South Carolina and her Bachelors of Social Work degree May 1999 from South Carolina State University. Shameka is a NC Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy Rostered Clinician, and is a Provisionally Licensed School Social Worker. She is excited about partnering with children and families as they begin learning ways to heal emotionally and learning skills needed to manage life stressor, emotions, and conflict in a healthier manner.

Hanifah Stephenson - School Counselor
Ms. Hanifah Stephenson is licensed as a School Counselor. She recently moved from New Jersey in August 2022, and has made Davidson, North Carolina her new home. She graduated from Saint Peter's University with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and two accompanying minors, Psychology & Secondary Education. She is certified to teach English Language Arts and Psychology from grades K - 12. A Master's Degree in Education was also obtained at Saint Peter's University in School Counseling in 2017, graduating with Honors. Her interests include Greek Mythology, visiting museums, & cooking.
